It started by making contact on Facebook Dating. He said he was an engineer and had moved from California to establish himself in Cottonwood, AZ. That he had a house in the San Francisco area worth 400K. He said he was working now in Arizona on a construction site. He seemed truthful. He said he was working with some people to get a contract in Dubai. The time came and he said he had won the bid and he was going to Dubai for one or two weeks. We only spoke on the phone and google chat but never disclosed his face. He sent me pictures of "the job" he was doing in Dubai. One day I was receiving a lot of calls from a number located in Washington, DC. He was very worried because he had misplaced his previous cell, (928)362-1770 and his accounts were frozen. I didn't understand what he was saying but he asked me for my home address to send me some kind of paperwork, that needed to be signed by me as his beneficiary. Instead, I received a check for more than $2 million dollars on his name "Daniel Haden." He asked me to keep it until his return from Dubai. Then, he asked for my name and a bank account number, so his company could send me some money due to the fact that his accounts were frozen and that money could help him to pay expenses, like his engineers, and paid some customs fees and he was waiting for some machinery to be cleared out. Then, one day I received a check for some $250,000 dollars on my name. The check looked legit, although I noticed that it stated it came from "Frenso, CA." Other details I noticed were the company name, located in Florida. I still believed the check was legit. The check was mailed through Priority Mail USPS from and address in "Palmyra, NY." Before that I had set up an Money Market account on my credit union. He even asked me for the login info, which I didn't provide. Well, last February 6yh, I went to my credit union to deposit the check. The general manager asked me questions about the check. I told her what I knew. She said the check was fraud and she was going to keep it. I felt bad because I've been with my bank for more than five years. When I told "Daniel" about the check, he said that it was ok. He wasn't mad about me for not being able to deposit. He then said that because of that he was in trouble with his company, he was going to loose his job. That he needed money in an urgent manner. I told him, I don't have any money, he originally asked for 20,000 and then 2800. He even asked me for the money I had in my money market account. I said NO! He ultimately said he needed whatever I had, so he could come to Tucson and cash the 2 million dollar check I had. I definitely said NO. Then I started googling all the details stated in the check. to my surprise, I found that the so called foundation he had paid him, was in Kentucky and didn't have expenses for more than 1,500,000 dollars a year. I called several times to the phone number lisited, there wasn't anybody to take my call. I ended up blocking him, but he sent me an email, accusing me of robbing him. That he was going to make a report to his "fbi friends" and dig into "my information" and reporting me to my exhusband. I have to note that I didn't see his face ever, pretending not to know how to use Google Chat. The pictures he send me were from a private airplane, where he was reading a newspaper from three years ago. He never wanted me to tell my sons about him. There are some pictures I deleted. I also asked him for an address to send him the check on his name. He threatened me and I told him I was filing a complaint. I filed it with the FBI.
