I was contacted at work by Gwen's Tax Services (Caller ID) 225-456-5299, and told that I used them and never paid them to file my taxes in year 2016. I have NEVER done business with them, and therefore, do not owe them for tax preparation. The woman on the phone insisted she was "looking at my paperwork", that I (allegedly) filed with them, and when I asked the last four of the social, and told her it was incorrect, she persisted and said that she even had the name of my dependents, also incorrect. When I informed her that they have me mixed up with someone else, she continued by saying, I have the paperwork you filled out and tried to get me to provide my Drivers License Number, Social Security Number and other personal information. She was pushy, rude, and most of all, unwilling to accept that I am in no way responsible for someone else's error on their side.
