I paid George Wayne Rusnak of GW Home Improvement and Contracting 2379.50. With two checks, 1st 1979.50 then he asked for a 2nd 400.00 more and said that I would owe him another 600.00 after he came back from out of state taking his wife to see her dying mother. The next day after looking over the numbers and remembering that he said he would take off 200.00 for a "NAVE" discount, 200.00 for cutting a main beam too short and still installing it. and 200.00 for overcharging me for lumber products and stating a further discount on the contract for 979.50 bringing the final actual total owed to him 186.00. His answer was that he had no calculator, (he had a smart phone!) Before he left to take his wife to see her mother, he placed a temporary rubber roof on the poach, it's not very well done, it's like a swimming pool on top, and water floods my sidewalk. He also said the reason he made a mistake and the overcharged me for the lumber, is that he didn't have a tape measure. Later he told me that his name meant more to him than money. and offered to not charge me for the extra work that he offered me; and I accepted, which he never started. Later when he came back, he showed up without calling me; there was to of been a load of lumber products delivered, which didn't show up. He told me that He was going to use pressure treated wood that would last me 50 years. I am not sure if any of the wood is pressure treated that he used. he left pricing 3/4-inch pressure treated plywood for 30.00, good luck with that! when he did show up again, I fired him, and I told him that he owed me a refund of 1618.68 that he acknowledged. He had placed a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood on my roof that was to of been 3/4 inch and shows up with multiple sheets of 1/2 plywood and when I questioned him, he said "O". On the 18th of September his wife calls me and told me after giving him the five days PLUS to get the 1618.68 refund to me and saying I don't have that kind of money laying around, (why not he didn't use it for the items for the job! She said that they're not paying me for the lumber, and that they never use pressure treated lumber, and in a position of authority she said that she called the Dunbar building inspector and that he told her that I was a troublemaker and that the people that I hired to work at my house, that I caused trouble with them. (Sounds like "SLANDER") When he first talked to me at my house, he asked me if any of my relatives lived close and stated that I didn't have to be here when he worked "ALONE" on the house as worker comp was too expensive and that the guy that usually helps him was watching his children. Yea sounds like a scammer setting me up, I wander how many other older clients and military retirees he has scammed? I had to help him do his job, making corrections to his sloppy work, painting it multiple times because of him touching it with his dirty hands saying " I quess I shouldn't have touched it." he said. I spent two days in the hospital under the direction of a cardiologist for observation, can't wait for the bills to start coming in.

First off nothing was ever said about my mother, Second nothing was ever said about our children ( they are grown) Third you reported us to the attorney General office and had them investigate your claim. Mr. Patrick Spainhor after the evidence of paperwork and text messages from you that we supplied them with they said you had No case. I have tried being nice because you are elderly however you are trying my patience with your blatant accusations that if anyone has a case for slander it's not you. Please continue with your business and get your things fixed the way you want it even if it's not to code! We tried working with you however when we refused to do it your way instead of up to code you developed a problem with our work. I don't believe other contractors will oblige you but please continue your search and good luck!
