Applied for remote entry assistant on linkedin. After application, received email promptly from what seemed to be a hiring manager. Interview process was chat-only through the ring-central application. After answering questions I received an acceptance letter and onboarding process letter. The onboarding process described setting up a home office location, answering a short questionnaire and task from the hiring manager to be rewarded with a bonus, and hiring manager will apply for a start-up check which will be used to purchase "work equipment." The pay listed was for $35/hour and training $30/hour just for a remote assistant job. Definitely an elaborate scam based around sending a check that will bounce back.
