My mom received a call from a woman named Carla who stated that I need to call 844-532-6080 regarding an urgent matter. I called the number and spoke with a gentleman who stated that they called about an old credit card that I allegedly opened in 2006. He said that I owed $4479.58 and that a summons had been sent to my address that day. I said I would contact him later and asked for his extension. He said that he had an extension but quickly changed the subject and placed me on hold because he wanted to speak to his attorney so he could provide me with options to make payments on the debt. I was on hold for about 30 seconds and he returned with options for payment plans. He stated that I had until the end of the day to call him back to make arrangements. He said that if I had already received the summons then he would not be able to speak with me. He gave me my correct address and said that it was delivered that morning. After I told Mr. Wilson that I would contact him later I called my husband who was at home and asked if there was a summons delivered to the house. My husband was confused and said no and I explained to him what was told to me by Mr. Wilson. My husband said no one came to the house at all that day. Mr. Wilson called me the next day and stated that I had until the end of the day to contact the office and make arrangements to pay them.
