We booked United Airlines tickets online and were surprised to find an almost two thousand dollar charge on our CC Acct for a "booking Fee"in addition to the charge for the tickets. Somehow an agency, GTT TX, hacked in and claimed the booking was done through them by phone. They added $100 on to each of the 4 tickets and then charged the whole purchase twice! United Airlines was of absolutely no help and acted as if they didn't even care. The GTT TX agents have returned our calls, but take as long as a week to get back to us. One agent, "Carlos" (with and East Indian accent) said he would refund the entire charge and cancel our reservations. We don't want the reservations cancelled, only a refund of the over charges! This is a scam, because the reservations were made on what we believed was the United Airlines web sight. There was never any notice or indication that it was not United Airlines. All confirmatory emails came from United.com which is United Airlines website. There was never any way for us to know we were not dealing with United Airlines. When we suggested that United Airlines was having some difficulties right now with their image and that they might just be a little more concerned the agent simply denied they had any issues with image. They just don't care. GTT TX is a scam. We changed our CC Acct. Quite a complicated chore in this day and age of Online Bill Pay and Changing all those accounts....
