Through Instagram I found someone who seemed knowledgeable and helpful about bitcoin mining as a means of passive income and that’s what they advertised as their profession. They gave me what sounded like a good explanation of how the bitcoin mining worked. I told them I only had a little to invest in the start and wanted to see how it would progress from there. I was not informed until after the mining process had completed that to get my earnings, I would have to deposit $1,000. And so I did, and ran another mining operation, but this time my earnings were exponential and they were credited to my account that I could see. I was out with family and decided to re-invest a portion of my earnings, but the person took the full amount. After that it was a constant back and forth of the person needing more money for “fees” and not being able to properly get me my money. They wanted me to sign up for odd banking sites that didn’t look right so I could “get my cash” and not get back my bitcoin. They had also in this time lost access to two of their own Instagram profiles because hopefully others reported them. Throughout this they had a back end access to my bitcoin wallet which was disturbing yet they assured me that they couldn’t take my funds out or see my personal information. Then the person said he got his website running and that my funds were on there and I could withdraw my bitcoin after paying $15k, somehow he “knocked it down” to $8k and after I adamantly said that I couldn’t put any more into it, “some employee” of this company ran another mining operation on my account causing my withdrawal to be blocked after I scrambled the last bit of cash I could. They’re still saying that I can sign up for some bogus bank that is the same web layout as the “mining” website or pay another $15k to get what my account says. I used cash advances to pay the “fees” and racked up my debt under the assumption that once I got the fees paid that I would be able to get my cards paid off. I’ve suffered hours of stress and crippling anxiety, lost focus and patience with my job, gone into debt after all my cards were paid off before, ruined my credit score, killed my self-esteem, and almost ruined my marriage. I
