Received an interview offer for a job that I couldn't remember applying for and that I couldn't find a job posting for on the company's website. They told me to contact a recruiter at their company via an email and that my, "swift and timely response to this position matters a lot." Also, I received the offer at 12 AM PST on Sunday, 09/25/22. The interview, which was scheduled for Monday 09/26/22, was just 15 screening questions. After about an hour, they responded that I had the job. No face-to-face interactions or even phone calls at all. They then told me that once I signed my employment letter and sent a picture of my ID, they would send me a check to spend at their vendors to furnish my home office. There was well over thousands of dollars worth of equipment that they wanted me to get. And they wanted me to order it before I began working with them. At this point, I stopped responding.
