This complaint is about Moon Star Vanlines and Greenway moving. These companies work together in scamming people. We used the company for our move from Niagara Falls, Ontario to Grand Falls, New Brunswick. At first, they will email you a fake estimate to get you to book a pickup. They will get you pay $100 for booking. When they come to pick up the stuff, they start charging you for stuff they never mentioned before such as the steps, flat rate, etc. They wanted to charge us $600 for loading our stuff on the truck ( for every 2 steps $100) after arriving at our place. So, we brought all our stuff to the transport ourselves. They will get you to sign a bill without explaining what they are charging for. The bill did not include the total we had to pay. I did not hear from them for 6 days after they picked up our stuff. I emailed Moon Star Vanlines to find out what’s going on and they never replied. However, later I got an email from [email protected] saying thank you for emailing them and that our total was $1636.50 and that if we do not pay that they will not deliver our stuff (I never emailed them, I emailed Moon star Vanlines actually). And When initially we booked them with Moon Star Vanlines, they said we will have to pay when they will be at our doorstep with our stuff not when they are leaving for our stuff. So, basically, both the companies tell you 2 different things to scam you and then blame the other company for not explaining things properly. When we were not willing to pay $1636.50 because they were overcharging us, they asked us to pay $1000 for unloading (Apparently, our stuff was at the back and they are about to leave for New Brunswick so they wanted us to pay $1000 for the unloading). We called and emailed them multiple times in order to get a hold of them. They gave excuses such as they called us, but we gave them the wrong number, and they sent us invoice, but they don't know why we didn't receive it. There was one rude person on the phone trying to rush us to pay by threatening to hold our stuff. She said the transport is leaving at 1pm. Later we tried talking to another person. This person was not rude (at least) and negotiated our price from $1636.50 to $1515.75. And told us to pay within a day. We asked her if we will have to pay them again when they unload. She said “NO”. I asked her to email me the invoice. She said she sent it to me 6 times but does not know why I am not receiving it. (I checked my junk mails, nothing was there). Later she just emailed me a breakdown of the invoice. I called my bank to make sure I can get my money back in case Green way moving **** us over and do not deliver our stuff because at this point I was so sure that it’s a fraud company. The bank said it's hard to get e-transfers back. So, I emailed the Greenway again to ask if I can pay through visa (as its easier to get the money back if you pay through a card in case of a fraud). But she said "We are only able to accept an email transfer. Do you know how to do that? If not I'm happy to help.".... Well, I know how to do an e-transfer but I was not sure if I should send them the money. But I ended up sending it and asked them to confirm if they received it. I never got a reply back acknowledging that they received it. However, the e-transfer was deposited to their account as they accepted my payment. Later, the transport driver (3rd number that I have provided) calls us to inform that they will be arriving the next day around 10 AM. When the truck arrived, they rushed me to sign and then they said they will charge $100 for bringing the stuff to our place from the transport which was parked on the main road and they were no steps this time (Also, when they send email you the estimate to entice you, they will mention free loading and unloading). So, again, we got our stuff from the transport by ourselves. They only brought it out of the truck. Our stuff was way at the front (not at the back). They were very unprofessional. Every professional mover knows that heavy stuff goes at the bottom. They threw light boxes at the bottom. Heavy suitcases on top which crushed and tore our boxes and almost half our stuff was out. They didn’t handle the stuff well as our night stand’s leg and mirrors were broken. Clearly, they don’t know the ‘C’ of customer service.

THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE CORRECT ADDRESS AND THEIR WEBSITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION (LOL). BEWARE OF THESE KIND OF SERVICES. ALSO, I HAVE PROVIDED 3 NUMBERS ON THIS COMPLAINT.
