Indeed sent a job application for Green House Agency in California. Due to me discovering a prior scam a month ago, I thought it would be wise to check out websites for all my job searches. After I sent my application, two days later I get an email saying they got my application and told me how they are an artist for the marketing company and that they travel a lot and need an assistant as well. The application said CSR for both the company website and Indeed not a personal assistant. I was suspicious when the email said that he goes to places and sell things like antiques and art. I was like why would a HR person need to do any of that for a marketing/advertising company. This morning I received and email from the same person. The commas and periods in the email really bothered me since they were not correctly use in some spots, asking about what phone carrier I use when it was said that a phone would be given to me was weird, wanting to know what bank I use but don't them my account info was also strange to me. I looked at the website again before replying and saw that the name Jesse Bautista is supposedly a man but I said Miss in the email and was never corrected. I saw Staff Accountant instead of HR, some pictures of employees were not shown and from their LinkedIn account it seemed like they worked in LA, FL and New York with the same name of the company but not at that one. Two of the workers said they were there for 19 years, but FL was founded in 2010. I decided to look at the email some more and noticed the words of a laptop brand seem off. I copy and paste the laptop name in the email and got a hit on google about job scams. I clicked it and the same email with that said congratulations were the exact same email from 2019. I scrolled down and there people who have the same story about it and from this year as well with proof of the email. Instead of using Jesse Bautista, a Gina Dillion was used for the other people that encountered the same situation. I did not give any information after I made sure my intuition was correct this morning.
