Green Energy claims to save home owners energy by taking money from you.

- Rumford, RI, USA

I have received multiple phone calls from this company. Each time, the caller ID shows a different phone number. Sometimes it has a name matched to it (today it said Nicola Riccio, with a phone of 401-481-1803). They have left countless recorded messages on my voice mail.

The last 3 times, I have picked up the phone. It starts out as recording saying I can receive a discount on my National Grid bill and to press 1. A representative comes on the line. The first time, I said I had reported their number to Donotcall.gov and he hung up. The second time, I asked what the man was with and he hung up. Today, I played along a bit more to get the company name. He was very evasive then said "Green Energy." He wanted me to get my National Grid bill. He claimed they are a 3rd party supplier and that information would be on my bill. I refused and said I was going to report the company to the ScamPulse.com and he hung up.

Called from local number saying they were Bill from Green Energy calling to save homeowners money on their utilities.

"Bill" asked Are you the Homeowner? Twice, and when I had said "ess" they disconnected.

I called the number back, and the person answering said that they did not call.

Harassing phone calls even after I have said "NO" & not interested & told them I was on the do not call list. I have filled out this type of form with/your ScamPulse.com & I have called FTC & reported them - Even after that - 2 or 3 weeks later they kept it up again

I heard on the news last week about a phone scam where the caller, or automatic recording asks questions to try to get a yes answer, which they record. They then use the recording to make unauthorized charges to your accounts.

I received a phone call from this number and it took me a few minutes to figure out it was a recording. The man on the recording identified himself as Chris with a company called Green Energy Solutions or Green Energy Corporation or something similar. He said something about solar panels and making them affordable, then asked if I was the homeowner, to which I replied Yes, I am one of them. I don't remember what he said next as at this point I was starting to wonder if I was talking to a recording, and it clicked that there was a scam going on where the caller tried to get people to say yes to a question, so I hung up and blocked the caller. I suspect this was a scam call, but I have not yet had any unexplained charges anywhere as I just received this call. About a half hour after this happened I called the local police Department to report the call. The officer said that when she looked up the number it didn't come back as a legit number.
