Came across this website to purchase a dog. They asked me for $300 for a deposit. Then called later telling me I needed to pay full amount. Send me address to come see and get the dog. I paid them $300, then I paid the $600. I realized I was getting scammed when I looked the number and into the website. There are many reports on it. Then I canceled the $600 and called and told the scammers that I wanted to see the dog first before I paid him the rest. He has disconnected me and will not reply. I went to the address he gave me to see the dog. The house is for sale and no one lives in it. No dog and $300 taken from me.

Scammer agreed to phone call regarding puppy. Offered two alternate puppies, not one we had chosen. Additionally, caller/scammer had heavy foreign accent and address/voting record did not match provided picture. New website with fake food reviews are obvious. Scammer provided a plausible story, however, further research proved this to be a scam breeder.

I found a website online to purchase a puppy. The scammer first texted me pictures of the puppy and then called me. I spoke to him and said a deposit of $425, half the price of the dog, was required and was sent through my bank, Hancock Whitney Bank, using the Zelle app to transfer money. I looked up address online and a realtor site that showed the home and that it was taken off market. I asked him to describe his home and he described exactly what the picture of the home looked like on the realtor site. I asked him to send a picture of the puppy with a piece of paper with my name and the date written on it. He said he would send it but he was at the vet doing the paperwork on the puppy. After an hour had passed I asked if he could send the picture and he stated he was still at the vet. I then looked up the address again online but looked on a different realtor site and saw that they had the house for sale. I then contacted the realtor that was selling the home and asked if the house was for sale or off the market and she states that it was for sale. The realtor also told me that the owners were still living in the home and she knew that the owners did not have or breed any dogs. She was able to give me the name of the owner and it did not match the name I was given by the breeder. I then contacted my bank to see if I could cancel the transfer but it had already went through. The bank filed a dispute on the transfer and I am waiting for a reply but can take up to ten days.

I was contacted about a puppy that i wanted to buy. i talked to the man on the phone and he sent me papers, contracts, pictures, and videos of my puppy and i paid him $850 and drove 8 hours to pick the puppy up. when i got to the address he sent me it wasn’t real and he completely stopped answering my calls and texts. my mom called them and when they realized who it was they hung up. this is a complete network of scams. they have multiple phone numbers and send their “customers” to DANGEROUS places!!!!

I found the website searching for breeders in the area. The website looks legit. You can chat with someone, and has good reviews too. I filled out a form and the person contacted me via text. We talked on the phone. It was a good show. I picked one of the dogs that the website has, and sent a deposit of $450 via Zelle. He told me that for $50 he can bring the dog to my house (3 hour drive). He has an accent, so I asked where he was from. He said Norway. He definitely didn't have an accent of someone from there (my neighbor is from there). The day after, I had a gut feeling that something was wrong. However, he kept answering my messages. A friend contacted him as a new customer, and he offered the same dog, and told her to send the deposit via Zelle, but this time he gave her a different name and email address. I waited and decided to tell him that we didn't need the dog anymore. I asked for my deposit and he told me he will give it back to me. That is the last time I heard from him. He is not answering my texts or phone calls anymore.
