Type of a scam Debt Collections
Called the number, and spoke to an Anthony Adams who identified them as Alternative Debt Resolution. Left me on hold for over 20 minutes while they spoke to my husband on another line, and scared him into setting up a payment plan for almost a thousand dollars on a supposed 12 year old debt by threatening a lawsuit.
Refused to provide verification of the debt, except via the suit. No address. Neither the county the “legal courier” claimed to be from, nor the one we live in have any such case, and said the case number format is invalid. Locked card husband was going to pay through, and reported to the police before any money was withdrawn.
