Told consumer her nephew had been in an accident In New Jersery and someone had died. She needed to send $10,000.00 in order for him to get out of jail. If she didn't send the money he would have to stay there at least 6 weeks. Case #8581102 Public defender: James Williams

- Greenville, SC, USA

Received phone call that said Hi Grandma, I am not feeling well. I was in a wreck last night and needs money. He stated that he needed money to get out of hospital. I told him that he was not pulling this on me and that he was not my grandson and he hung up.

- Liverpool, NY, USA

Phone call saying they were my grandson. I told them they had the wrong number. ( I don't have a grandson) They then said they were Nathan, my nephew. He was in a car accident, and in jail because drugs were found in the car. (Not his car and he was not driving. Sounded different because air bag broke his nose.) Asked me to call his lawyer, Jerry Diner at this number 1-438-920-9487. I didn't call and within 15 minutes I received a call staying he was Jerry Diner calling about Nathan. I told him that I had reported him to the District Attorney and to have a nice day. I then hung up.
