After I scheduled a Zoom Interview with Aflac for the following week and man named Thomas Carter sent me a text stating to go to the Zoom chat and do the interview right now instead. He said that Grand Rounds was an Umbrella Company over Aflac. I followed the instructions that he gave me to go to an email and log into Zoom. From there he asked me a series of interview questions and then stated that I got the job. This is my first time doing any sort of remote/online type of job interview and I didn't know about these scams. He then sent me a check to put in my account through mobile banking (first mistake) not a valid check. Then had me use Zelle and Venmo to purchase a list of items I would need to do the work I would need. After the second amount was sent I caught on, told him I wanted to see a contract, He sent me a very vague offer letter with my name nowhere on it and no date. I told him I was done and then he said i had to send Vanilla Visa cards to return money to him. I lost $2000.
