I too just fell prey to this deceitful practice. The person I was chatting with via Google Hangouts is Robin Whyte from Miami Florida company's name is GRACURE PHARMACEUTICALS located in INDIA, and supposedly expanding in US they texted me to do an interview, versus calling to set an interview, stating that they need 16 reps working from home until the development of the office branch is completed near where I live, I found this through GLASSDOOR web site..working with a company AMBEC which is insurance company located in New York NY. what they simply do is forwarding you resume and contacting you via text or email with a subject " YOUR RESUME HAS BEEN APPROVED" BY EMAIL ([email protected]) It seemed very legitimate through most of the process until the immediate hiring. They are pretty thorough, saying all the right things like we’ll send you your W4 in the next few days and once you receive this information then so on and son forth.

Then the bomb shell dropped that created the first red flag. They stated they were going to send me a check to purchase their company equipment. I was like fine, that sounds about right if I’m going to be working from home. Then they asked the killer. that I need to deposit the check and it needed to be deposited via mine bank ATM point because the company need the scanned copy of the ATM receipt for documentation purpose (Office use). in the mean time I wanted to do more research about this company I couldn't find any information about them,,.. I even try calling their headquarters in INDIA wich was in constant busy ( 91-11-47770900 ) then I tried another number that was provided to me ( 619-878-7553) it was a fax number...I was skeptical about all this... I told them they could send it via mail. They then said ok, the check was coming from Los Angeles CA which was odd.... BIG RED FLAG. I did more research and I went to ScamPulse.com site I google check fraud job interview with the exactly script when they talk to you.... I was able to find so many issues with this. I am just glad that I was smart enough to not fall for it. I knew the whole process seemed shady, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, because companies are hiring employees that work from home. STAY AWAY IT’S A SCAM!!!!!!
