I was looking at dog adoptions online and came across this website, graciousbichons.com. I got in contact with the owner of the website via email and told them that I'm interested in purchasing a dog. He sent me a prompt and a bunch questions to answer. I didn't think anything of it. I told my mom about this website and that I'm in contact with them. To make the purchase, I would have to Zelle them $500 and the rest when the dog gets delivered. I sent the payment over and was told that I have to pay $100 more because the expenses were more than they expected it to be. At that point, I didn't want to go forward because it seemed too good to be true. I looked up online on reviews with this website and said it was a scam. So I asked for a refund and he told me that it would take 3 business days for it to show up in my account. Didn't make sense to me so I told my mom it was a scam. However, she wanted to go through with it to see if it really was a scam or not. She asked me to forward them $100 while she was talking to "David" on the phone, and I recorded the conversation. The next day comes and she gets a text message from Diamond Air and told her to forward David the rest of the money ($200) and $300 for the delivery insurance. David told her that the dog will be delivered at 6:25pm, never showed up.
