Type of a scam Online Purchase
I found a gorgeous Basset Hound puppy online at Grace Basset Hounds. I sent an email to ask if the dog was avaiable. Their email back to me asked 5 basic questions and had many grammatical and punctuation problems and it didn't appear to come from an English speaker. They stated they were concerned about the puppy and said they'd ship her to me without even talking to me first. Neither email I received from them had a name, phone number or address. They did say they were in McKinney, TX but I doubt it. They asked for $500 plus $150 to ship her. They said they'd give me a $50 discount if I paid with a Walmart gift card so I knew they were trying to scam me. I sent an email back and told them I would come get the puppy and asked for a time to FaceTime, Skype or Zoom. Didn't receive a response. I Googled the puppy's photo and she actually belonged to Emerald Trail Basset Hounds.
