I applied for a job on indeed.com labeled "package handler". The job was remote and mainly consisted of administrative duties. They were offering a salary of $35,000-$40,000/yr with benefits and some other perks. In the job posting was a second link to an online form to be filled out with your first/last name, email, and phone number saying that it would make it easier to contact you faster. About a day or so later I received an email directly from the company saying that I was a great candidate and I was hired. They stated that if I wanted to accept the position I had to reply to the email with "I [name, last name] accept the terms of work and I am ready to proceed to the next step of the hiring process". At the bottom of the email they also included a link to a google doc with a detailed job description. After reading both the email and the google doc, I felt like something was off. The repackaging and reshipping part of the job description seemed especially fishy so I took to google to find out if jobs like that were legitimate. I found a couple articles talking about reshipping job scams and peoples experiences with them. They also encouraged people to VERY thoroughly look into the companies they encounter to find something that confirms their legitimacy. So I continued to do just that. I did some research on the company but only found a suspiciously legitimate website with TONS of detail about their services including a page with a pricing estimate calculator. They had no reviews on Indeed, Glassdoor, or LinkedIn. Essentially there was no evidence that anyone had encountered them in anyway. To confirm my suspicions, I decided to do an image search on some of the employee photos they had on their website. While the photos were not stock images, they were linked to about two other webpages both exactly the same as the one for GozoShipment except they had different logos and company names.
