Received a Ohio UCC Statement request form. It has a form to send a check or money order for $98 to an address that is actually for a UPS store. It looks official and includes my name, address and my lenders name and address. It also includes the Ohio UCC outlined as on the Ohio Secretary of State website. I received the notice yesterday and it has a respond date of Today. Says it was filed two weeks ago.

I purchased the services of this company under the pretense that they would assist in obtaining a woman owned status for our business. I spent a year spinning my wheels, sending sensitive material and all the while learned that were using an obsolete website to “file” all my documentation. I was told my attempt to earn this status for my business was denied and was then resubmitted. The “owner” of this company told me had all proof in my company file and would provide me with it all, I have never heard back from him. I spoke directly with the SBA and they informed that no applications have ever been filed for my company.
