I just got a call from the government grants Department of United States from a heavily accented man who seemed insulted that I said that they were a scam I Googled it and it's all that comes up is the fact that it's a scam. trying to call the number back it's been disconnected they had my first name my last name and multiple area codes for me that weren't correct and I said that to them and they said that it was some technical difficulties and they said that I didn't need to give any of my information that they would send it to my address and I asked them all the information that they had on me and I asked him for his ID number he gave me his ID number and when I tried to call the number back it's been disconnected turns out this scam is been going on for a couple of years multiple people online have complained about this I asked them to remove me from their calling list but apparently since they are government institution they cannot I don't know what I'm going to do about this but I'm definitely going to try because they definitely had way more information on me than I feel comfortable with they offered me $5,000 with a slight payment of $2,000 in order to get it .
