I received a phone call and the caller said I was picked to receive a Government Grant because I had always paid my taxes and never filed bankruptcy.She knew my name and city and state.She said the grant was for 6,700.00 and have me a grant ID #.Then told me I had to contact Stephanie William at 850-888-2404 to activate my grant ID.I called Stephanie William and was told to go to a nearby Western Union or Money Gram and purchase a $250.00 Gift Card and she would need the Verification Code off the receipt and then I would receive a Money Tracking Number and Then I would be able to pick up the 6700.00 from the Western Union or The Money Gram.I then asked her why was I required to purchase a 250.00 and she said that I would be keeping the 250.00 gift card. I was asked by Stephanie William if I had a Bank Account and I told her No.I never gave her My Social Security number or any personal information. I just want to make others aware of this scam.I am very thankful I didn't fall for this.This woman was very professional and kept assuring this wasn't a scam.Please people beware two people contacted me.The first lady called from 1-616-013-3566 and have me the Grant ID # and Stephanie William # and before I could call Stephanie William the lady called back again from another number 1-202-409-9667 to see if I had contacted Stephanie yet. I tried calling those numbers back one was not in service and the other went to voicemail and said no voicemail has been setup for this number.I then googled info about Government Grant Scams and also called the BBB....These women are smooth but I'm smarter....
