I am selling a vehicle on Craigslist. The scammer contacted me via email and said he wanted to buy the vehicle but insisted that I provide him a vehicle history report through www.vehiclenote.com. Not realizing at first the history of this website, I sent the person a copy of a carfax report instead and asked for the persons location. The person wrote back and insisted that I provide a report from the specific site and still did not reveal his location. This raised a red flag and I performed an web search of the site he wanted me to use and found that the request was a scam.
