We had a contract for AC replacement. When I checked the contract the unit was not the appropriate size for my house. The contract also included an install of a tankless water heater. Contracted sales person to question the amount of water flow required. I stated that I currently do not have great water flow and questioned him to see if that would be an issue. He didn't know and wanted to send someone out to check, for an additional charge. The install for the AC had been scheduled. When installers arrived, they asked why I would replace a system barely two years old. I told them the issue that the system had and one of the installed thought he knew how to repair. So, I opted to try the repair. The salesman called me and was rather nasty on the phone. When done, I asked for the bill and was told they would send it. The repair was done on 8/17/2023. As of the morning of 8/21/2023, I had not received a bill, but I did get a text wanting to know how payment would be made. I called the company to ask what they were referring to and was told that they had already charged it to my Wells Fargo account. During the discussion, I pointed out that it was not part of the install and were not authorized. They did reverse the charge. I later called Wells Fargo to make sure the charge was reversed and it was, but they had charged $9,600. for the install that was not done. I disputed the charge and closed the account. When I call Pascal, they said they charged the amount on the 18th without confirming the work. The work has not been done to date. I have not heard from them as of 8/22/2023. I have reported them to the Arkansas State Attorney General consumer protection division. I feel that billing for work not done and quoting the wrong work just to drive up the price is predatory if not illegal.
