Approached as a Facebook Marketplace purchaser, quickly switched to text from messages, asked about Zelle, sent a text with a six digit code and asked me to message it back to her. The link was to “Google voice verification”, which also didn’t make sense. She stopped responding when I said this was too complicated and we should just use cash. Sorry I deleted the text thread when I panicked. I was about to delete the other messages and block them, but then I found where to report it, so thank you.
