We get about a dozen calls every day from a recorded voice, all the same or similar, that say something like this: "Please, do not hang up. This is a very important call regarding your Google Business Listing... to speak with an agent please press 1." After pressing 1, I usually wait a few seconds then someone says "Thank you for holding, I'm your google business listing representative." They then ask if I own the business or if I have financial authority. If I say no, they hang up pretty quickly. Recently, I decided to string them along in order to get more info. They do not have an official company name, according to Abraham, the most recent rep I spoke to. Instead, he gave me this number: FDS157 and said they are located in South East Michigan and they have 17 "service providers" nationally. I asked Abraham if there was any way to rectify the situation so that the volume of calls coming in would decrease. Apparently, a payment of 200-300 dollars would be the way to go. I told Abraham I would discuss it with my boss and that he could call us back tomorrow.

Later the same day, another robocall came in. This time my agent was Juan. Juan and I talked and eventually, after I mentioned Abraham, Juan transferred me to his supervisor. The supervisor said their company name was IBL. He didn't know who Abraham was and told me it was most likely a scam... he told me my business listing on google was good to go and he would take us off of their call list. Not sure how many companies participate in this and how legit it is.

Several calls a day from an Albany NY phone # 518-213-4870 saying that our google listing for our business may be inaccurate. The automated phone call says press 1 to correct and press 2 to be removed from our list. I've been pressing 2 for months and they call up to 10 times a day. It is harassing and a waste of my time, not to mention interrupting my work and customers. When I pressed 1 and told the person if they don't take me off this list I am reporting them and they asked to verify my business I replied yes and they hung up on me. I tried to call the phone number and all I get is a recording that the number is out of service.
