This person sent a message through our website claiming to be from Google AdWords with an email address of [email protected]. At first it appears to be legitimate because the domain thinkwithadwords.com redirects to Google Ads however a WHOIS lookup for thinkwithadwords.com reveals it is registered through GoDaddy with a company name of Seowares, Inc.

It is clear that they are trying to impersonate being official Google representatives and possibly social engineer information from a Google AdWords account.

Message:

Hi this is Eddy from Google AdWords, I've been unable to reach the individual that manages the ads account for echomeless.org. There has been some recent changes with AdWords that have led to some inefficiencies in your account and I would like to schedule an account review to fix them. Please have the individual that manages the account to email [email protected] or call me at (866) 586-3404 to schedule the review.
