I applied for a job on the job site Indeed.com and went through a series of questions via a Word document which too about 90 minutes. After completing it I was offered the job for a remote graphic design position. They then sent me a check to deposit in my bank account for the purchasing of supplies with a 'preferred vendor'. After depositing the check, I became suspicious and called my bank to have them delete the pending deposit.

After inquiring as to why the issuer wasn't Goodwin Enterprises Inc. they told me it was a subsidiary.
