I inquired online about a kitten for adoption. The owner of the website Gomez Kitten Home reached out to me from the phone number on the website and went over the adoption process with me. It stated on the website that they do wire transfers or Zelle payments but Mr. Gomez preferred a Zelle payment. I asked him to send me an invoice or a shipping confirmation for the kitten before I would submit payment for the cat. He provided me with the tracking number for the company Internation Shipping. Which pulled up the attached information on the shippers website. I then sent him a Zelle payment to the email [email protected]. The shipping company emailed me an update that in fact the cat wouldn't be shipped on 3/26 but would arrive first thing on 3/27. Mr. Gomez kept in touch throughout the day, including alerting me of the shipping date and time change after he received payment. I realized this was a scam the next day when I could no longer reach him and I found the shipping company had a D rating on ScamPulse.com and a similar complaint.
