Phone call from a Megan Martin 9/1/2023. Spoke with my husband regarding a 20 year old debt from Citi-Bank. Told him if he did not pay they would take us to court and put a lein on hold. Could not give him any information until court. My husband gave me the phone as I handled all the bills at that time. Told Megan that we did't owe anyone and there is a 7 years for all debts to be paid or they are written off. Told her that we had no paperwork saying we owed the debt. Please send us the documents that said we owed the debt. She would send the documents. Gave her the email address to send documents. We had just refianced our home and nothing had showed up on the refi. Told my husband this was a scam. 9/5/2023 sent a confidentual email asking us to sign a paper for an offer for $4,676.31. Said we had a breach of contract. Will not sign paper.
