I received the attached document/application in my mail box, and after calling the number on the flyer and talking to a representative regarding how this program works - I was informed it had been implemented by the government to help homeowners who needed assistance with their mortgage due to the pandemic and my loss of income. The person continued to tell me that the program was not to work directly with my current mortgage servicer - but with the Investor who holds my loan. I became suspicious when you read on page 5 that I would have to pay them direclty (goldenhomeservicesamerica) via CASHIER CHECK for a period of 5 months because I was informed they would pay this amount directly to my mortgage bank on my behalf. I called my bank and I was informed there is no such program currently in place that they were awar off. I already struggled with my payments in 2008 - and was lucky enough to find an honest company that helped me to retain my home and get a modification.
I am still not currently working, and have had no source of income since March 2019. I dont want other people who are in my situation to find themselves making payments to a company that may not be paying their mortgage - and they end up falling further behind or even end up in a Foreclosure situation just like 2008.
