I began speaking with Golden Retriever Club through Facebook. They said they were based in Toronto. I believed to be speaking to a woman whom claimed to be religious and simply wanting to find her puppies good homes. She gave me a rate of $300 and said it included a delivery charge. I asked if i could do half now then the rest when i got the puppy. She agreed and i paid $150 and said she was getting things together and going through an agency to have the puppy delivered. Hours later a recieved a message requesting $500 for a "refundandable" crate claiming what she had was not feasible for transportation and she did not know. I could not pay that and told her so. She offered to covered half, i said i would send 200 given it would be refunded anyways then said that she could keep the extra $50 because of the hassle. She thanked me and said to expect the puppy by 6am the following morning. The puppy never came. I reached out and she gave me a number to call. It was a Pennsylvania number. The man was rude, and insisted he needed $275 before he could proceed with the delivery due to "registration, permit, and license". This is when i knew it was a scam. I declined, and to test the theory stated i would have cash in hand upon delivery. Obviously i never got the dog. Back to the facebook conversation. She refused to call me, video chat me, and sent me a couple of pictures. She then said she would find another way. The next day she said she would bring the dog herself but wanted a deposit of $250. I of course said no and she still insisted. I requested a refund and contacted my bank. This person is still contacting me, now asking personal questions as if to get something out of me. I have multiple screenshots I have had to send to my bank.
