On 4/21/20 ordered puppy online and paid via Bank of America Zelle transfer of $750.00 to "merchant" SEMITRIA as directed by [email protected]. Scammer used tools to mimic a legitimate transport company in emails as [email protected] with tracking number and 24 hour door to door delivery. Scammer used jpg pictures of puppies and used prayer quotes at bottom of emails. On 4/24/20 scammer tried to get additional $$s via phone call and email stating cargo stopped at FL/GA border due to COVID-19 state quarantine rules that required special dog crates. Crates costing $3500-$5575 were offered for purchase via Zelle in order to release cargo but costs were "refundable." We refused and requested our money back via repeated calls and emails but were hung up on or ignored. We filed complaints with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center, the FTC Consumer Complaint Division, and with local Florida Sheriff authorities. We have emails from the scammer on this but contains our names, address and phone numbers.
