I was looking to purchase a husky puppy and typed "husky puppies for sale near me" in the Google search engine. Golden "Huskies Home" was one of the first websites to come up. The website looked professionally done and shared stories of how the huskies were raised and bred in loving homes, surrounded by children where the puppies could be properly socialized. Various puppies were listed for sale (all for $750) and the website also outlined which ones had already been sold. The website stated that all puppies came with all current shots, microchips, health certificate, pedigree papers and were house broken. If you were interested in a puppy you had to complete an online form. I did so and someone immediately replied (even though I sent the email at 1am). The person said the puppy I was interested in was still available and told me about shipping options. Being new to animal shipping, I inquired for more details... they said the puppy could either be shipped via cargo hold at $150 or have a lap nanny at $300. The lap nanny option would have the puppy delivered right to your door, whereas you would have to pick the puppy up from the airport if you chose the cargo hold option. They said the puppy would ship within 24 hours, sometimes same day depending on your location. The scammer said that the puppy would arrive with all of its required paperwork. I asked for additional photos of the puppy (as the one online only showed its face) and the person obliged, sending 3 additional photos and one video. They said they would draft a purchase contract and asked for information to include name, address, phone number, email, puppy of interest and nearest airport (that I got to choose). I asked they send me the contract to review and went a step further to ask for their Better Business Bureau information or other business licensing information to make sure they were a legitimate business given this would be a large financial transaction ($750 purchase price plus shipping cost). Up until that point they were super responsive with email, responding in mere minutes even though I was speaking with them at 1:30am. Once I asked for their identifying business information, silence..... they never replied!

Luckily I was smart enough to ask for their business information before sending any money. Otherwise, you may be hearing a very different story. This website looked very professional and even gave the history of the husky breed. On the review page, there were only two reviews and they were written by the same person. This website listed a gmail address as the contact email address (which was the same email address they replied from) and only a phone number (which I never called) and no physical address was listed anywhere on the website. Their accepted payment methods were Apple Pay, Google Pay and Zelle.
