In 2014 I called a radio station and won a cruise, I was talked into an upgrade for $150. Unfortunately I was not able take the vacation within the 18 month period. In 2016 Global fulfillment services called multiple times saying they should extend my time to take the vacation, as well as add a few extra vacations. I said I was not interested. The person then said it would be a breach of contract and I would owe $2000. I reluctantly paid an additional $398 to keep from breaching a contract (I did not even know I had a contract). The company said my time was extended a year. Again I was not able to go on the vacation within the allotted time. I wrote it off as a dead issue. 2018 I get a call again, this time say the company was going to sue since I did not fulfill my vacation. I informed them I never sign any contract and I had given the company over $600 and was going to call it a lose and let it go. The person got very irate, calling names and saying the company was going to sue. I hung up. I continued to get calls every couple of weeks from the company, offering to extend my travel time for another year or 18 months. I would hang up on them. Fast forward to today 01/24/2022. I received a call from a person stating he was calling to get "my side of the story" before the company started filing a lawsuit. When I inquired what the lawsuit would be for he sated it was for a breach of contract. I informed him there was never a contract and no vacation was ever taken. He again said he was trying to help and if I show proof of my purchase it would make the issue go away, "as long as you have proof there is no issue" and wanted to give me names and numbers for lawyers- for legal representation. I told him I have my own legal reps and did not want any information. He said this call is being recorded, so anything you say on this call will be used against you. He stated the last four of the credit card used for the original purchase, my address and said information had been sent regarding the matter in June and November and if the matter was not handled Florida and Texas have the ability to persecute at the fullest extend of the law which was $10,000 and up 10 years in jail. At this point I put him on speaker so my co-workers could hear what he was saying. I said this sounds real scam-ish. He again offered to give me names and numbers of lawyers. I refused and said "I have my own legal representation. He then told me I had to call back by 5pm tomorrow with the lawyers name or I will be sued to the fullest extent of the law since I was so gangster. He again said information was sent in June and November. I informed him no such information was ever received. He almost yell "good now we know where to send the subpoena." I requested he send all information to my address because it sounded like a scam. He called me a few choice words and then he heard my coworker laughing and said "put her on the phone too, we will subpoena her too since you want to be a gangster. This call is being recorded and our IT can clean it up to find out what she is saying in the background" I replied "there is no way this is legal, what are you a thug? These scans are ridiculous!" The person got very irate, called me a gangster a few times and said "That is what is wrong with US citizens, always scamming to get out of out of what you owe." At this point I hung up. I reviewed my emails and realized my credit card had been charge not once but twice in 2016 ($398 x two). I tried to call the number back that he called from and it rang 6/7 times and then went to voicemail box with no identifiers.
