I was trying to search for hurricane evacuation list and everything froze an alert came up about my Microsoft software and that I was breached not to turn off computer and to call Got assist express then to call a number She took my name and had me type it in and a code she gave me then to download go to assist express. Said I had ransomware trying to hack my information and for a fee I needed firewall and needed my information. So she got call back number from me, my first and last name then said I sounded like a minor and got my age out of me too. Then I found she was talking very ugly to me and raising her voice telling me I was going to loose all of my information on my computer if I did not purchase with a check online because I refused to give credit card information. Her connection was very staticky and she was foreign and hard to understand. After awhile I caught on and she was very ugly and aggressive with me. So I hung up and immediately turned off my computer and then deleted the short cut to the assist she had me download. I feel very stupid and I am afraid she got information off of my computer.
