Text offering opportunity to be secret shooper for Walmart. Followed by mailed (USPS flat rate pouch) letter with detailed instructions, evaluation form, and check for $2380 made out in my name. The appeal letter (which included process instructions) and evaluation form were clearly unprofessional and included strange elements (e.g., text your supervisor for further instructions) and cryptocurrency references (i.e., verify authenticity of check via verifycheckatbitcoin.org). Supposedly, the $2380 would support the test purchase of retail gift cards, and provide for my "salary" of $350 and a specified charitable gift (Kidney Foundation) of $30.
