I was approached by an individual stating he was Rick Springfield, the musician and celebrity. He stated he was sending me a gift which included money and told me I would be receiving an email from a "courier" with a tracking number. I received an email from this company email with the URL address and a tracking number. It looked official to me. About a week later the person asked if I had checked the tracking and I had not. That was when I noticed an email from the "courier" stating that they had discovered $200,000 in cash in the package and that they had concluded it was money laundering and that they had come to an arrangement with customs. They then stated I would need to pay $20,500 in customs fees to get the package. The person claiming to be Rick Springfield then asked how much money I could come up with, that I "would get it back when the package arrived" and that he would try to come up with the rest. This person is also tried to get me to pay $4,000 in a bank transfer for a "meet and greet" with the celebrity. I've tried to get as much information as I could from the person to provide to authorities, but this is clearly a scam and the courier site looks very legitimate.
