Found ad for live silkie chicken in a forum. Interacted with breeder who asked for payment for 2 birds with shipping. Then said they will send birds via a livestock delivery service. Said no refunds after that point of interaction. Delivery service contacted me with tracking number and requested insurance for the live birds. Said it would be refundable once delivery was made minus $2. Payment made and then email escalating situation that birds needed a better crate due to sender not using quality crate. Needed to pay an additional 300-500 hundred dollars depending on which crate option. I informed them I wasn’t able to pay additional fees and that it wasn’t responsible for sellers choice of crate that was accepted by company initially. And no one has given me any refund because of their disclosure of no refund at one point and refund based on delivery. Nothing was delivered so no refund. I have no birds and less the money.
