I was contacted by Trey Johnson from Global Sales and Marketing LLC. He wanted to know if we were interested in selling one of our timeshares. They were to have nothing owing on them. I asked if his client was interested in a second time share as well. He said that he would get back to me on that. The next call was proposed offer to rent our timeshares for 6 weeks and pay us $4000 a week to help us pay off the timeshares. The next contact was offers for purchase for a very large amount of money. He then said that the closing company would then look after the rest of the paperwork. After that, I dealt mainly with Tom Stevenson from Astra Closing Group who insisted that the ownership transfer fee had to be paid by the current owner and that the monies were to be sent to a bank from which all the disbursements would take place. He was quite insistent that it was international law that things had to be done this way and that any fees had to be paid upfront and not from the proceeds of the sale.
