While typing a known website address into my browser the screen displayed and sounded a warning that Mac OS detected a Trojan virus and instructed me to call Mac OS Support for help. Screen provided the phone number and computer was locked. I called the number and was told Global Help provides network security support to Apple. They told me to select "command n" to unlock the screen and instructed me to type "join.zoho.in" in the address and enter a session ID # then download a file to give them access to my computer to help solve the problem. They said my IP address had been exposed and I needed to set up a website lock protection program to protect my computer. The suggested prices varied from $875-$1675. I ended the call then contacted the real Apple Support help.
