I have been looking for a new job lately and have applied to several positions on various job search sites. I got an email from someone calling themselves Julie and claiming to be an HR manager for a logistics company offering me a remote courier position in my state, Tennessee. I replied back that I was interested, and a few weeks later, I got another email from a Lara White who claimed to be another HR manager. This email included a name for the company, Global Forwarding LLC, and a PDF attachment of an employment contract as well as more details about the position and the pay ($3500 monthly plus a biweekly payout of $25 per parcel). It also included instructions to read over the contract carefully and send back a picture of the signed contract to commence employment. I sent back an email asking some questions that were not addressed in the contract (when the monthly pay would come in, which hours of the day the position demanded, whether or not it was a contractor position). An individual who neglected to identify themselves at all responded with the answers I requested, including that the position was permanent and gave out W-2s at the end of the year. But the grammatical content of the reply indicated that English was not this person's first language. Something was telling me that this was all too good to be true, so I decided to do some research on the company itself. I searched Global Forward LLC on DuckDuckGo, and a link to this website was the first link that came up. When I clicked on it, I read the account of the individual in Ohio who had signed the "employment contract" and gotten screwed, which confirmed my suspicions. I would also like to add that I was only able to access the "company website" through a link provided in the second email I got from them; my efforts to find the website through Google did not even find the website.

I am been online applying for many remote work from home jobs. I received an email Global Forward. It was from Julianne M. Schmidt HR Manager. We would like you to try our courier position. They sent me a contract I had to sign. I sent them a copy of my drivers license and utility bill. They also wanted a form of payment to pay me. I gave them my bank account number and routing number. I contacted my bank and closed the account. They did not pay me anything. Did not take any money out. It was a shipping job. The package come to me. I put a label on the package via email. It goes to Fed Ex or UPS. I get paid $25 per package. I did it one day. One package. I thought it looked like a scam when I saw a shipping label. My name was on the label not a company name. Why would you ship to me to send to Delaware. It should have a company name. They kept sending me packages. I should have to accept job on a portal. I contacted the police in South Euclid and reported. They said it happens a lot. I showed them the package. They told me to keep all documents. The company told me they are not a scam. I feel they are stealing identity. I got a 25 pound package yesterday. It was a medical dummy inside inside a duffle bag. I wanted to report this scam. I don't want to be charged with something. I was just looking for a job.
