Received the call she said she was checking on us, cause we had a year subscription. Her name was Anna, out of Los Angelas, CA.

She affirmed everything was safe, but I just want to make sure.

I was finding information for a recipe when a message appeared on my computer telling me (in an audible voice) that it was an important security message, "Your computer has been locked up. Your IP address was used without your knowledge or consent to visit websites that contain identity theft virus. To unlock the computer please call our support immediately. Do NOt turn off your computer." Stupidly, I called the number and the lady gave me instructions which allowed her to get onto my computer and bring up supposed breaches in my security. She continued to say that I had no security on my computer, which I knew was inaccurate. When she mentioned that she would need to replace my security system, and asked if I had bank accounts on my computer that I wanted to protect, I felt sure I was being scammed. I told her to give me the name and phone of her company, and said I would call her back, if I learned she was legit. I quickly turned off my computer, and took it to my IT guy, who told me that yes, this was a scam. There was something on the site that mentioned a Zeus virus.
