I went to apply for global entry. I have no idea how but somehow their website must of popped up requesting money for assistance. I don't specifically recall how I was scammed since I am very aware of that kind of stuff and would not ask for assistance. I just ended up paying two fees. One for $100 and the other for $149.95 thinking both were for the application. It's been 14 months since this happened and only today after receiving my Global Entry card and looking over the application did I realize only the $100 fee was mentioned. I then looked into it and see that many have been scammed this way. First off, there should be a huge warning on the Homeland Security (what a joke name) Trusted Traveler site about scams. Telling people that they don't need any assistance filling out the forms and to beware of scams!!!! Big red box at the top of the page!!!! B E W A R E !!!!!
