Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I have received a couple of emails from the above company stating they were a magazine running a story on one of our clients and asking if we would like to place an ad in the magazine. We have done this in the past in similar trade magazines for this client however when they asked for payment (up front before preparing the ad) it was requesting an international bank note transfer to the UK. We contacted our client who had no knowledge of this company and upon further digging by myself I found similar companies had their clients contacted stating the same and I found a site that lists the company as 'dissolved". As it's deceptive marketing and fraudulant I have filed a complaint already with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
