I met the scammer on a dating site. She said she would love to meet up but had been the victim of abuse in past so she used a website call AHH to verify people were the real deal. All I had to do was click on the link and fill out a quick background check while she waited. The link brought me to an official looking website where I had to enter credit card information for my "Free Verification." I never actually put in info, but I did look around the website and found spelling and grammar errors, a fake street address, association with a non-existant charity called Harassment Victims Community Foundation, and finally their logo had the wrong acronym (AAHP instead of AHHP).
