Wyndam Suites Hotel in Glenview, IL charged me for my hotel room even though they knew I had already paid for the room through Travel Alliance (which books hotel rooms for people who miss connecting flights at O'Hare Airport).. When I called Wyndam Suites to tell them about the additional charge on my credit card, they acknowledged the false charge but gave me the run-around to avoid voiding the charge. First, they said Travel Alliance hadn't faxed over the information; then they said the information was in "storage;" then they said they had to call Travel Alliance; then the accountant said she had to speak to the general manager. Finally, when I told her to stop giving me the run-around, she said my credit card would be credited in five days. I don't believe it will be; I disputed the charge. I believe that Wyndam Suites Hotel in Glenview, IL is charging an additional charge to many unsuspecting travelers who have already paid through Travel Alliance.

Also, in the morning when I checked out, I arrived promptly at 8 a.m. to catch my free shuttle. The shuttle had already left. This, I believe, was by design. They then called a private driver who they said charged $30 to go to the airport, In route to the airport, the driver said the charge was $40, before being told the hotel had said it was $30.

As I said, I believe Wyndam hotel in Glenview is scamming many tired travelers by surreptiously charging them an additional credit card charge, which then shows up on the credit card, even though the fee has already been paid to Travel Alliance. The free shuttle leaving early allowing the hotel to farm out the service to a private driver also seems like a scam.
