Wanting a puppy, I went online for the breed I wanted and there are many sites. I finally found one that seemed legitimate and my inquiry was responded to quickly. The website did not give an address or owner name so I asked and reply stated owner Gilles Pone at 2695 S Julien St., Denver, CO 80219. I did not find any negative reviews of either that name or the business name (where I had found reviews of other dog sites that specificially named the scam - shipping of the pet). I inquired about the shipping and the response seemed straight forward. I zelle transferred $500 (a balance owing upon receipt of puppy $270). I was told shipping would be arranged on 4-2-2021 and I would receive a call or email. Received 3 emails and I was told on the last email that the crate the owner supplied was not up to snuff for transportation of a live animal and I had 3 choices of crates that I could rent and upon delivery I would be refunded. The prices were $1600 - $2000. I knew then I had been had. Transportation company was Deltaairway logistics which is doubtful because I noticed there phone number was the same as one that the seller had given me the day before to screenshot a confirmation of the Zelle confirmation. I texted the seller I could not afford the crate, to please cancel contract, and refund my money. I have not heard back.
