The biggest red flag is that they wanted me to contact the hiring manager on an app called Signal, instead of a U.S. based phone number.
After seeing this I looked up the company which didn’t exist outside of indeed and learned the main goal of the scam is to send a fake check for us to buy our equipment and somehow have us reimburse them with our real money. I don’t quite know but it’s definitely a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
