As I was searching for jobs, I got contacted by this guy name Tyler Keen, who claimed that I applied for a job through his company. I was not able to find my application but I was convinced that I applied since it was for a position I have been searching/applying for through other companies. He emailed me interview questions which seemed legit. He pretty much offered me a job at his company without meeting me over the phone or on zoom and wanted me to start “immediately”. They also offered to buy me work equipment. Anyway when I asked him to meet over zoom he ghosted me. I can’t even find him on the company website or anywhere online! His email also seemed real since it has the company’s name on it …. But he’s no where to be found.

I was emailed about a possible job opportunity and I went through a preliminary job interview that was then turned into a job offer. The scammer sent me a check claiming that the money was going to be used for buying equipment needed for the job but I had to purchase through their vendor. I deposited the check and began to notice red flags from the now scammer. I realized this person does not exist and the email he used was slightly different than the one listed on the actual company website. He also said I had to wire the money to get the equipment. I looked him up on the company website and their LinkedIn and he was no where to be found. When I confronted him he threatened me to send the money and that I am holding him and the vendor up.
